MS and South hemisphere

Dear All, We are an NPO raising founds to open the first MS centre in South Africa, part of the idea is based on research that can take place in SA. the two basics idea behind are: 1. MS is a medical condition predominantly of the northen hemisphere. however ther must a common denominator that trigger it. Standard and living conditions in the north of the world are pretty similar amongst the continents. in the southern side of the world conditions are completly different. using info coming from here we should be able to narrow the research down to the factors that are common to both. 2. drugs trials require is a lot simplier here. We would like opinion on the theory. thanks
