World map of open MS and NMO trials

This data visualization displays the 2600 locations of open studies in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica Syndrome Disorder around the world as of May 30th 2016.

"Open studies" refers to studies that are currently enrolling subjects or are not yet enrolling, as opposed to studies that are closed to enrollment or are only enrolling by invitation. This visualization includes only studies that are registered with clinicaltrials.gov.

To explore the map, you can zoom in or out (scroll up or down within the map, or double click the map to zoom in) or move to different areas of the map (click, hold, and move the mouse).

Each circle represents a location where one or more studies are being performed. Mouse-over a circle to display the name of the location and the number of studies being conducted there.

Beneath the map, there are checkboxes that you can use to filter the studies by disease, condition and intervention type.

The table displays detailed information on the selected studies and will automatically be updated after each filter is applied. A double-arrow will appear when you mouse-over the separation between the columns. You can use it to resize the width of each column.
