Understanding caregiving for individuals with MS
We are a team of graduate students in the Engineering Department of Santa Clara University (SCU), California. As a part of our Software Engineering course this quarter, we are doing a class project on designing a software product to assist individuals impacted medically.
Our team was inspired to choose Multiple Sclerosis as the topic, and we wish to focus specifically on the caregiving needs for individuals impacted by MS. Our first step of this process is to reach out to these individuals and their families in order to understand their requirements and preferences about caregiving services availed outside their existing support system. We also want to comprehend their past experiences with caregiving services. The data we collect through this process will determine how we design our product and its functions, in order to best serve its purpose and benefit the MS community.
We have been extremely lucky to be allowed to contact the members of your forum and we would be grateful to receive inputs about your thoughts, experience and suggestions on this topic. We have created a survey so as to collect relevant information. We would appreciate it if you would choose to participate in this anonymous survey. We guarantee you confidentiality and protection of your privacy. The information that you all so generously wish to provide will be used only for the purposes of the project and course that we are a part of at Santa Clara University.

Once again, your responses will be very instrumental in helping us get a valuable understanding of the caregiving needs of individuals with MS and implement this in our design. We thank you a lot for your consideration and help.
